ESG sustainability report and XBLR

An ESG sustainability report is a comprehensive document through which companies communicate their impacts on three key areas of sustainable development: environmental, social and governance. The reports must comply with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), which provide a uniform reporting framework for all companies.

The report consists of three main elements:

The first chapter presents business report, which provides a comprehensive insight into the company's operations. Here we find an analysis of business development and performance, the current position of the company and projections for the future. An important part of this chapter is also an overview of key risks and opportunities, supplemented by a statement on corporate governance.

The second chapter covers the sustainability statement, which is structured according to the ESRS standard. It begins with general information under ESRS 2, which presents fundamental data points relevant to all companies. This is followed by the environmental section under ESRS E, which describes in detail the company's environmental impacts. The social aspect is covered in ESRS S and focuses on the company's relationships with society. The governance section under ESRS G covers the area of corporate governance. For each of these areas, impacts, risks and opportunities must be clearly presented, together with key data points and additional explanations for comprehensive understanding.

The third chapter contains specific disclosures required by Article 8 of the EU Taxonomy Regulation (EU 2020/852).

Composition of the sustainability statement

ESG ON prepares the ESG sustainability report in .docx format (plain-text) and machine-readable XHTML format. The report is structured in accordance with CSRD and ESRS requirements, ensuring that all necessary elements – from the business report to the sustainability statement and specific disclosures – are properly included and organized.

Once XBRL is finally validated, ESG ON will also enable the generation of annotated XBRL reports.
